Rescue Diver

Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver, EFR Primary & Secondary Care within last 24 months,                     Minimum 12 years old

Approximate Duration: 4 Days (3/4 Open Water Dives)

The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging courses you will ever take but also one of the most rewarding and fun. All recreational divers should try to reach this level. A big part of this course is learning not just how to react and deal with emergencies but how to prevent them from happening in the first place, but should something go wrong you will have the knowledge and skills to try and help safely. During the course you will learn some rescue theory with your instructor through use of the PADI Rescue Diver manual and the PADI Rescue Diver DVD. You will learn, practice and master rescue skills in a controlled manner before participating in emergency situation scenarios. Usually 2 days of this course are based in the diving centre, using the classroom and diving from the beach, and the other 2 days are on the boat. A prerequisite for this course is to have completed EFR Primary & Secondary Care training within the last 24 months; however this can be combined with your PADI Rescue Diver Course. We also offer to combine the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course with your rescue diver training.
